Q: How can I tell if my child has a sore throat or strep throat?

A: Strep throat is very common in school-age children and teens. A sore throat is usually paired with a runny nose, a raspy voice, cough or red eyes and it usually clears up on its own. If a child has strep throat, additional symptoms will start to appear within three days of a sore throat, such as red, enlarged tonsils, trouble swallowing, red and white patches in the throat, tender or swollen lymph nodes, headache and/or fever, lower stomach pain with loss of appetite and a rash. If you think your child has strep throat, contact your CCP pediatrician. wedding collections With Lace Appliques at discounted price
